Background
Formed in 2002, DecTek is a leading manufacturer of polyurethane domed resin badges (often referred to as domed labels or resin decals) which are used extensively for product branding.
To help the company penetrate and expand the domed decal market further, DecTek required a new website that would help promote their product, enhance services for existing customers and improve internal processes.
Solution
Imaginet proposed a highly attractive and professional website that combines DecTek’s off-line branding with a range of clear and powerful images that highlight exactly what the product is and how it is made. Key functionality in the site includes:
- A site wide content management system allows DecTek to control all pages in the site themselves allowing staff to format the content, add links, images and even tables to the site quickly and easily.
- Prospective customers can order samples on-line and this service is clearly highlighted throughout the whole site ensuring a call to action is given at all times.
- Existing customers can log-in to the site and track their order by either inserting an order number or inputting dates when the order was the placed. The system will provide a list of the possible orders and the customer can then view the item in detail, including its status, despatch date and other details.
- This information is automatically integrated into the site from DecTek’s back-end order system twice a day.
- A registration system is used to control the access to the order tracking system. DecTek staff can add, amend and delete customer details as necessary ensuring the tracking system is secure.
Results
The website has been hugely sucessful in attracting new business and improving services for existing customers and has won two awards for it's on-line tracking services for existing customers.
